EPTA Environmental Consultants Engineers has completed the studies and the tender documents for the construction of the Green Point of the Levadia Municipality, covering a population of approximately 31.000 inhabitants.
The construction of the Green Point is foreseen in the municipality’s local plan, in the regional waste management plan of Central Greece and the NSRF 2014-2020.
The Green Point is an organized site where citizens can bring recyclables, edible oils, electrical and electronic equipment, textiles, garden waste, bulky waste as well as small quantities of repairs and household maintenance.
Its aim is to promote source separation of different materials for reuse and recycling, reducing thus waste landfilling and related cost of mixed waste management.
A proposal for funding under the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) 2014-2020 will be submitted within June 2020, while the project is expected to be procured by the end of the year.
