Green Point of Milos joined the South Aegean RDP in the framework of the NSRF 2014-2020 as "Actions for the implementation of the Regional Waste Management Plan (PESDA) for the Municipality of Milos" and eligible public expenditure of 514,169.93 Euros.
The project is currently in the final maturation phase with the elaboration of the environmental study and the technical study for the construction of the project.
The project concerns the separate collection and storage in one (1) Green Point and two (2) Recycling Corners - which will be directly accessible to the citizens - of separate streams of municipal waste, in order to promote recycling or preparation for reuse thus reducing waste landfilling and related cost of mixed waste management.
The Green Point is an organized site where citizens can bring recyclables, edible oils, electrical and electronic equipment, textiles, garden waste, bulky waste as well as small quantities of repairs and household maintenance.
EPTA Environmental Consultant - Engineers undertook the maturation studies of the project and provided support to the Municipality of Milos during the inclusion of the project in the NSRF.
