EPTA has successfully submitted in collaboration with Local Authorities, funding applications for implementing energy efficiency measures in public school buildings in the framework of a call launched in the framework of the Operational Programme Environment and Sustainable Development. In total, 16 energy studies were conducted. The energy efficiency measures concern the insulation of the buildings envelope, the replacement of the windows and of the central heating systems, the installation of thermostatic valves, the installation of ventilation systems with heat recovery, as well as the installation of pilot RES systems. The implementation of these actions is expected to lead to primary energy savings of approx. 4 GWh and a reduction of 900 tn of CO2 emissions.
