The project concerns the construction of two waste transfer stations in the municipality of Kimi – Aliveri.
EPTA Environmental Engineers – Consultants provided a comprehensive set of services including:
a) Environmental studies, b) Design of the waste transfer stations and, c) Preparation of the Tender documents,
in order for the municipality of Kimi – Aliveri to obtain financing from the new funding program.
The objective of the project is to improve waste transportation and management of municipal solid waste in accordance with the new National Law on Solid Waste Management and the EU directives. Moreover, the construction of the 2 waste transfer stations shall enable the rehabilitation and closure of the 4 remaining uncontrolled disposal sites.
Particularly, the waste transfer station of Aliveri includes also the construction of a waste transfer station for recyclable materials collected in the municipalities of Kimi – Aliveri and Karystos, as well as the necessary works for the improvement of the access to the site of the project.
