The Academy Gardens project will be a major city centre retail, social and leisure development located in the heart of Athens. A key feature of the project will be the unique rooftop gardens which include a large outdoor Amphitheatre and a variety of cafés and dining areas overlooking impressive views of Athens. EPTA was responsible for the implementation of the EIA of the Academy Gardens project which was approved by the Permitting Authority.

Building-SPP (LIFE Programme) aims to mainstream sustainable public procurement (SPP) in Portugal and Greece through: 1. Assisting public authorities in putting in place a procurement strategy in line with their economic, social and environmental policies; 2. Encouraging cooperation among public procurers and 3. The overall objective of SUSCON (LIFE project) was to adopt a sustainable construction concept that could be applied by construction industries, engineering consulting companies, public authorities and suppliers of construction materials. (http://uest.ntua.gr/archive/suscon/)
EPTA acted as the technical advisor of the Greek Interministerial Committee on Green Public Procurement and conducted a draft version of the National Action Plan on GPP which also includes guidelines to local authorities on how to integrated sustainability criteria in public tenders. The Action Plan included priority product groups on which the application of GPP criteria is directly enforceable, while it also included actions for the gradual greening of all public tenders.
