Once again, we would like to thank all the stakeholders that provided input and contributed to the aims of this study.
Background
Epta Ltd in consortium with PE International (former PE Europe GmbH) and the National Technical University of Athens was awarded the contract "Study for preparing the first Working Plan of the EcoDesign Directive". The aim of this study contract was to bring together and complement available information and arguments as to which product (groups) should be included among the indicative priorities and to give the opportunity for an early input from, and awareness raising of, all relevant stakeholders. The aforementioned product list, must not comprise products that are covered by the the preparatory studies (pdf). Stakeholders that contribute to the aims of the study, were industry associations, retailers-importers, individual experts, SME's, NGO's etc.
The work accomplished until July, was presented in the workshop that took place on the 9th of July in Brussels. We would like to thank all the stakeholders (list of participants) that attended and contributed to the fruitful discussion. Implementation of EuP Directive
Article 16 of the EuP Directive (Directive 2005/32/EC) foresees that the Commission must establish a working plan by July 2007 at the latest, after having consulted the Consultation Forum. The working plan shall set out for the following 3 years an indicative list of product groups which will be considered as priorities for the adoption of implementing measures.
